Oppo A16s arrives with a 6.52″ screen and 5,000 mAh battery
Oppo A16s has been launched as a new affordable smartphone under the Oppo A-series. Last month Oppo announced the A16 with the Helio G35 SoC, and it’s now back with an ‘s’ variant. The A16s doesn’t bring any significant improvements over the vanilla A16 and isn’t an entirely new phone. It’s just an A16 with an NFC chip onboard. But The new model also carries a higher RAM and storage configuration over the existing one.
Oppo A16s Price and Specifications
Last month, the oppo A16 was launched in Indonesia at IDR 1,999,000 for the 3GB + 32GB configuration. This time oppo A16s price has been set at EUR 149 for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. It is available in Pearl Blue and Crystal Black colors and is currently available for purchase only in the Netherlands.
The A16s runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top and features a 6.52-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display and a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone measures 163.8×75.6×8.4mm and weighs 190 grams. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The A16s has includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. It comes with 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage that is expandable using a microSD card.
For selfies and video chats, The Oppo A16s packs a total of four cameras. the triple camera system on the rear consists of 13MP primary, 2MP macro, and 2MP monochrome units. It has an 8MP selfie unit inside the waterdrop notch. The A16s packs a 5,000mAh battery.
