Moto G8 Play starts receiving Android 10 update
Moto G8 Play was launched in October 2019 with Android 9 Pie. Finally, the phone has started receiving Android 10 updates in Brazil, a user has shared on Telegram. It is a new OS version, along with the December 2020 security patch. The firmware, QMD30.47-19, is the same Android 10 that Motorola pushed to the One Macro in India a few weeks ago and is about 1.46GB in size.
We haven’t had reports of G8 Play devices outside of Brazil receiving the update, but if you have the device, do check in your software update menu to see if the OTA has arrived for you.
